The National Palace of Culture
The National Palace of Culture was build on the occasion of the 1300th anniversary of the Bulgarian State in 1981.
The NDK is the Largest congress centre in the Balkans, awarded the world prize in 2005. It houses hall that seat a total of 10 000. If one should decide to walk all corridors and stairs inside, one should be prepared for an 11- km tour. The construction of the NDK was carried our in a record time - 2 years and 10 months, To complete the project on time 20 000 engineers worked on day and night shifts.
